In places covered by ice sheets during Ice Ages, such as northern North America,  glacial erratics (boulders)  are common. Erratics are boulders picked up by the ice sheet during its advance, and deposited during its retreat. They are called "erratic" because they typically are of a different rock type than the bedrock on which they are deposite

Our Ohio Glaciated Landscape Boulders are smooth, rounded, glacially deposited multi-colored and are available in several sizes from small 3"-6" cobbles to large boulders over 60". They are used in landscaping for boulder retaining walls, man made waterfalls, water features, shoreline rip rap, and as accent pieces.
